LOVE IS NOT LOVE

Love is not love that serves a threat,
Nor instilled in fear by a trained mind set.
‘Tis not a word from a Christian book,
Or the end of a teaching undertook,
By someone practicing a rule,
That uses love as a religious tool.
Love is love a spontaneous seed,
That germinates into a genuine need,
Unplanned, like lightning in the wild,
Like the love in a mother for her child.
That lasts a lifetime against all odds,
For through all storms and seasons plods,
To teach us that there is no shame,
For love is a truth for all to claim.
