LOVE AND LOSS

How can we understand love,
without experiencing loss,
how can we understand loss,
without experiencing love.
Love is a sentimental emotion;
Loss creates the dream
Where we swim in an ocean
That is warm and serene
Where the spirits of loved ones,
In the mind’s eye are seen
Like a mysterious motion
Of elation supreme
That pass like a phantom
With an Angelic sheen.
