LIFE AND DEATH

Nothing that dies is terminated, but is changed;
The dead flower resurrects its own seed.
For life is determined by death and vice versa,
Allowing the living to flourish and breed.
Then is it not so that life is determined by death,
As death is determined by life,
For even in dying there’s still something left.
Overcoming resistance and strife.
By the laws of nature we are all defined
As is a tree in a forest of trees,
Ensuring the continuation of humankind,
As primitive contradiction flees.
Then Science and literature combine to proceed
Into a future of evolution and need.
