LET US

Let us establish our truth and banish the lie,
Let us make clear what is real; idealism deny.
Let us see what we see with an intelligent eye
Then with a mind that is fair the real truth apply.
Let us not look with a bias that changes the hue,
To a colour only acceptable to a particular view,
That the majority in office are really the few,
Making laws that give power to people untrue.
Let us be open; transparent, humble and fair,
Willing to admit our mistakes that others may share,
Our burdens and defects without adverse compare,
Always willing to learn, to advise and repair.
Then we will be happy; trustful and free,
For I will love you and you will love me.
