IT DOES NOT MATTER

It does not matter what is achievable,
Results should not be a concern,
Expectation seeks the unbelievable,
It is selflessness we must learn.
Contentment is a fallacy of the mind,
Or evolves briefly from encountering pain.
Responsibility is not something we find,
It lives in care or arises from shame.
Self-appraisal is a mode of conceit,
Seldom accurate though thought to be true
It’s self-delusional or unconscious deceit,
That establishes an inaccurate view.
I think I left out the word obsession
But it only applies to the few.
