INSINCERITY
Insincerity causes trust to flee,
And that is what I view in thee,
And it matters not if you agree,
The facts are there for all to see.
I can’t for truth on you depend,
Nor condone the lie that you defend,
For what you do not comprehend,
Are the real values of a friend.
Tis not a word used as a threat,
Nor as a tool to prompt regret,
It is a feeling deep and true,
That is yet a stranger inside of you,
But here in me tis firmly set,
For I remain your reluctant comrade yet.
