IF I GIVE UP
Can I do it? Well I’ve done it before:
But Hell, can I do it again!
But do I want to keep crossing the floor,
Just to let everyone know I came.
I’d be better off sitting back there,
With the other solitary people so mute,
Half asleep because none of them care
If I wear baggy jeans or a suit.
And me; all the protesting I do,
Is there some point to what I have to say,
What I say is always the truth,
But well, no they are not listening today.
Well, maybe tomorrow I’ll try,
For if I give up I might miss a reply.
