HOPE

Hope is a belief; not a reality; nor a fact,
It is an emotional wish for a positive result.
It is the way the dismayed choose to react,
Without blaming or measuring causes and fault.
It is the desire for something that does not exist,
Something that is absent, missing or aloof,
Expressed by people who always boldly insist,
That despite histories adventure God is the truth.
Hope is their inspiration, their vision desired,
The impossible dream; their spiritual grace,
The theological virtue though it is never acquired,
That combines us in love in a spiritual place.
It is a sign of despair; lack of confidence and fear;
Which worsens as death draws steadily near.
