HOLLOW BUGLES
Judge me not by your beliefs
And I’ll not judge you by my own.
For I am not a subject of your chiefs
And to mine you lie not prone.
Blame me not if I offend
For ‘tis your choice to rage or smile;
Few are as disciplined as they pretend,
Oft revealed by someone’s guile.
If you cannot practice what you state
Then why make the claim at all;
For to defend what you can’t correlate
Is a hollow bugle call.
So ‘tis best the bugle is not blown
Lest from your pedestal you do fall.
