FRIENDSHIP
Greater is a friendship that is slow to realize,
For it has absorbed what is presented before its eyes,
There’s been a time for testing, teasing and mirth,
Serious debating, while traversing the earth:
A time of acceptance, understanding and pain,
An ebbing and flowing disappointment and gain.
Though we see differently, how the sun sets,
And are strongly opposed, we have no regrets.
For what we agree on, perpetuates its own proof,
For we admire each other for speaking the truth.
Thus we cross many boundaries of culture and race,
Political differences and religion we genuinely face,
Unafraid of opinion, belief and absurds,
For we know there is love behind all the harsh words.
