FAUNA
Is not his head of primitive shape?
Is not his burnt skin black?
Does he not go in nakedness
For clothes he doth lack?
He does not shave his face it seems;
His feet have no shoes,
‘Tis from these things we can’t divide
His inhuman prowess proves.
Alas if we can’t wipe him out,
With fire and guns and swords,
Time will see him die no doubt,
As God, our grace, rewards…
Yet still they seem to walk-about
Despite their depleting hoards!?
