FARCE
Stress, the manipulative ingredient of mans greed,
Lacks the argument that would make it fake.
Tis easier to grow without its fickle seed
That one day might declare it a mistake.
Tis common now to use unproven facts
To justify what might have not occurred;
With lack of argument the powers that be retracts
Accepting that which should have been deferred.
While we condemn the sportsman taking drugs,
Our swimmers cheat with speed enhancing suits.
Such comparable themes meet with official shrugs
Lest they do lead to justified disputes.
Sweet freedom shares no power with the poor
And none will ever enter through the door.
