EVOLUTION

Life is dependent on evolution;
some call it change,
But it is really revolution;
while landscapes rearrange.
Life evolves as we watch it,
From the seed and the gene,
And the mathematics of the future,
Is the arithmetic that has been.
The tree grows as a tree,
With sap running through its bough,
Like the blood in you and me,
And that flowing through a cow.
Never from each other free,
In the past and also now
