EVIL

Evil has no substance, it is but a hollow word
That side steps obligation which is quite absurd;
Substituted for responsibility to counterfeit the truth,
Providing programs for debate but never any proof.
How can we describe evil; is it something people do,
Or some existing phenomena that in the system grew.
Does it have a heart and soul, does it make its own bed,
Or is it something living inside the cluttered human head.
Of itself it has no body, it does not exist at all;
It is a word used by a person as a persuasive squall.
Let us not blame hate on evil or the atrocities we compile,
It is human nature to be vicious, and violent and vile.
We all think we are perfect; that all we do is right,
Using evil for the reason that day shares its time with night.
