DIFFERENT SAMENESS
Tis all too oft that by past times profile,
That all they were they still with hope compile,
In order to impress their friends and peers,
With falser truth of current times careers.
Why do so many write of self and fame
Wherein no substance is their own to claim,
But deeds of folk they envy or desire,
Or words of others they so much admire.
Though one’s own essence in it all will show,
With broader vision wider would it glow
Where their own thoughts seldom so designed,
Uniquely versed in captivating rhymes,
Determines not a style unique to claim,
For all that’s different is the very same.
