BE KIND

We know what is cruel and what is not,
We know what is right and wrong,
Half empty and half full is the pot,
Different tunes fit the same song.
For good reasons many will hate,
For good reasons some fail to love,
All are victims of a natural state,
Wearing variations of a multi-hued glove.
We must love those who would hate,
Lest we the hater become,
That they soften and learn to relate,
To those whom they would want to become.
For being kind to the wrenched and vile,
Might well change the sneer to a smile.
