ARE YOU SURE?

Towards God’s heaven you may cast your eye,
But do you see what the Lord God sees,
If he rebukes you will you ask him why,
Or “can you not see the forest for the trees?”
We have no right to expect that we will go,
Up to Gods heaven when it’s time to die,
Yet we make claims on things we do not know,
Because we think good things to us apply.
Let us think; what is it that we do
That makes us special in the eyes of God.
Is your self portrait definitely true,
Or do you from sweet fantasy sometimes rob?
Either way the best we can do is hope,
And help the needy to manage life and cope.
