ADMIRATION

Being admired, a most natural desired event,
Is by its point sweet water to a rose,
That makes more crimson the petals lovely hue,
Oft causing in its stem conceited pose.
Yet though delightful, being so admired,
Being so drenched in desires eager rain,
'Tis oft that roses drown from heavy showers,
That what was thought as love becomes a pain.
