ACCOUNTABILITY

We must be held accountable for everything we do,
In countries that brag that honesty is something to accrue
If we claim to live in freedom with an uncensored voice,
Where human rights provide us with a just and noble choice.
We have to stand up and be counted; make our intentions known,
Be strong enough to cop it back from where ever it is thrown.
We must think before we chatter; taste before we drink,
Treat a lady as a lady dressed in rags or wearing mink.
We can talk a lot, and brag a lot tell the world how good we be,
But we are only as good as the worst of us though the best might not agree.
We are no different to the people in all other parts of the Earth,
We have the same requirements and exceed no other persons worth,
We are all born as Earthlings we all live and breed and die,
Then in standing up accountable we need never be asking why.
