They shut out the world with loud music,
Becoming loud themselves,
Never wearing the traditional tunic,
Which new thought repels.
Dinner plates are never left empty,
And doors are never closed,
For they live in a land of plenty,
Where no discipline is imposed.
Yet when the peace is shattered
They all rally round the flag,
Lest their world be shattered
And their institutions sag.
For youth, which lives so free,
Is blind enough to see.
