WHO WILL WEEP FOR THE CHILDREN?

Awarded: February 5, 2005Who will weep for the children,
the children of Iraq,
Slaughtered with their Mothers,
in cruel Artillery attacks,
Who will collect their bodies,
their scattered shattered limbs,
Lost in the smoking rubble,
In a war of deadly sins.
We will cry for those young soldiers,
committed to the fight,
Who lost their lives destroying,
believing they were right.
But who will weep for the children,
in the shadows out of sight.
