THOSE WHO FLED
Are only foolish soldiers brave,
Who fear to disobey?
Or is it those who fearless crave,
To join the battle fray?
And what of those who shake with fear,
And turn away to flee
When the horror of the foe comes near;
The ones the media never see?
How many shocked and shattered men,
Return without a name,
Who are never subjects of the pen,
For they did not rise to fame;
Those who were shattered from the shell,
That never really fell?
