LIFE AND DEATH
I don’t want to die you know; not ever!
Despite the pain that living life may bring.
Despite the promise of a peaceful heaven
For I must yet discover everything.
I have not known the feeling of true hate.
There is no person living that I despise.
Nor do I have an inkling of my fate
So I do hope there is some sweet surprise.
War raised in me grave doubts to overcome,
For man must have good purpose in his life.
I’ve had bad times and I have had some fun;
Long precious moments with my loving wife.
What’s left to know, I guess before I die,
Is God dear God, please tell me why oh why!
