FREEDOM, THE MYTH
Freedom is not enjoyed by those who die,
and the price is never paid by those who live.
Everything that’s free a man must buy;
there is a price on everything we give.
What is this myth that freedom is the gain?
We only do what we are allowed to do;
you have no right to refuse to give your name,
I am free to drive my car if I pay my due.
Even thought is based on someone’s rule,
It’s obscene to walk in public as you are,
cameras watch you shop and go to school,
and soldiers are still trained to fight a war.
Freedom… justifies the actions made by some,
but freedom is a myth that’s never won.
