CLOUDS OF GLORY OPEN WIDE

When iridescent clouds of glory open wide
that allow the silver sunrays shine with pride
I am then caught within the slipstream of hope
and I discover new ways, with time, to elope

As the gathering storm clouds hover overhead
there comes a break in the situations I dread
Streams of light show me the way I can follow
and I climb from the depths in which I wallow

Heaven pours its glow from the darkening skies
illuminating the its truth, dispersing life’s lies
Shadows of doom cast away by the suns glimmer
upon my soul it dances, in my eyes is its shimmer

Soaring am I above the dark and foreboding clouds
high above and far away from those maddening crowds
