RETURN TO REMEMBRANCE
Transcending all known measurements of speed
he would travel through time whenever the need
Consuming time's distances in the blink of an eye
he'd traverse back and forth, not understanding why
Many times he'd go there... not making the choice
after a number of years, he ceased giving voice
To resist the drawing, he was unable you see
even for one, who couldn't easily bend knee
Oft times he'd be missing... it'd happen so fast!
Regaining awareness... he's back in that past
Oh, the traveling itself is very exiting!
But at many places the memories... not worth inviting
You could find him there, all just the same
and he understood that this wasn't some game
It seems that he'd meet someone there, who understood why
he couldn't make out the face but... maybe Phu Bai?
They never would talk... just walk along
sometimes they could hear a "Temptation's" song
Didn't have to speak... there was nothing to say
they both already had passed through this way
It was the same wherever they went
over there they'll stop to examine a vent
The old tunnels they find... there was so many
that fierce battle they had here... was their Gethsemane
They will pass through that cane field to look around
last time here, they burned it down
Stopping at a stream to drink - the day was fair
finding a safe place to sit... to sit and stare
Evening was coming now... the day went by fast
but unaware... they were back, in another past
This had happened before... better snap out of this mode

Both are in good position... it's going to happen real fast

real soon now the tracers will light the nights' sky
A blinding flash...! as if someone turned on a light!
