DISCUSSIONS OF INTENSITY
(For my Friend, Britany)
Twilight and dawn
meeting together
loveliness to spawn
where all do gather.
Sometimes too much
the older to speak
fires trying to touch
in language oblique.
Intensity so bright
casting flames high
meant to see light
finding only a sigh.
Depth unexpected
dawn just awakened
twilight unchecked
rambles mistakened.
Thus is the old found
with the youth to meet
making too much sound
communication to defeat.
Discussions of intensity
trying desperate to give
lessons of a history
in this life to live.
