CONTUMACIOUS
In the woods today
seeing the peace
hearing the quiet play
finding loves release.
Then heard a rumble
coming through growth
dinner time to tumble
alarming the oath.
Contumacious company
coming along its way
sensing food aplenty
there was no delay.
Sadly he's supper here
the butcher's got him
chops and sausage dear
and steaks not to thin.
