AMERICA’S TRUE HEROES

Pam Imhoff: America’s True Heroes I’ve not written a poem in such a long time,
Decided to make it a HEROES rhyme.
Today, as all days, I shall honor each Veteran,
They have given me the right to do this again.
November 11th is YOUR day of glory,
But in my heart, YOUR life is the story.
Of a Country so lucky, because we have you,
You have fought and you’ve died,
For this land, you are true.
And for each and every one of us
You have given so very much:
Your heart and mind and body and life
Though there’s been oh so very much strife.
We shall honor and love you
Till the end of our time,
And pray for your Brothers,
All too many left behind.
Know that YOU are the “beating” part
Of ALL of America’s “true-blooded” heart!
