THE INTERROGATOR
He wanted to know the units name
He wanted to know their strength
I told him of the Ghost Riders name
And we were of Division strength
He wanted to know our coordinates
And what we were doing here
I told him I'm just a cook, a subordinate
And I was just bringing up the rear
He promised if I was lying, I would pay the ultimate price
Assured him I wasn't and he should keep rolling the dice
The truth was, I was very much in the score
The units name was the much known Recondo Hardcore
Infantry, the 39th to be exact
I knew where we were down to the numbers on the map
And our mission was, to search and destroy
And once we found the caches we were to redeploy
You could see it in his face the frustration of being annoyed
Everything I was telling him was just a big (glib) ploy
