SHIT HAPPENS THAT WAY

Sitting at my computer
I was really having fun
When all at once it happened
and everything came undone

The connection was lost
and then I hit reconnect
When the error came up
I couldn’t believe what it said

No dial tone my friend
and that’s the way it is
You’re sure in trouble now
the phone is on the fritz

They cut the main wire
and it won’t be fixed today
You have to wait till then
is all that they could say

The withdrawal ain’t too bad
it could be so much worse
I’d be doing something else
instead of writing this corny verse

Emptiness is the theme
and I guess I feel that way
If they don’t hurry up and get it fixed
there’s going to be hell to pay
