THIS IS JUST A SERIES OF WORDS

This is just a series of words
placed awkwardly in sequence
one after the other after the other
and so on,
and so forth,
and so pointless

There is no rhyme, reason, or purpose for any of them.
They just randomly popped into my aching confused head
And somehow traveled to my bored fingertips
And those fingers obligingly typed them out.

Tap, tap, tap they went
Tap, tap, tap
Then I yawned and pressed the send key
And this series of words,
The ones placed awkwardly in series
One after the other after the other…
Were magically transported from my computer
To your computer.

And now you are there, somewhere
Reading those series of words
Placed awkwardly in series
One after the other after the other
And perhaps you are scratching your head
and wondering
Why on Earth I bothered
