TEA OR COFFEE?

My day cannot begin without my java.
Strong, Fresh. Hot.
As the aroma permeates,
and the coffee peculates,
my mind is jolted into gear
after that first sip of morning coffee.
Rousing. Stimulating. Delicious.
As the caffeine circulates
my brain stimulates,
and my day of writing can begin.

In the early afternoon my eyes are weary.
Aching. Unfocused. Dizzy.
Fresh water is boiled,
my English tea brewed,
and I am filled with anticipation;
then I pour myself a generous mug.
Hot. Milky. Sweetened.
As soon as I sup
I start to pick up,
and once more I can return to work.

So when asked to choose I am.
Befuddled. Confused. Perplexed.
Whether my delicious coffee,
or invigorating English tea.
For in my world they are both required.
