I NEED TO PRACTICE…

I need to practice writing me poetry,
as writing poems you see, is quite hard for me.
The rhyme and tone all needs to happily meet
and the phrasing should have a natural beat.

I need to practice writing my poems
for the ones I pen- only generates groans
the rhythm and tone needs to fluently drift,
and everything needs to logically fit.

My poems obviously need some work –
But work is something I rarely shirk.
The rhythmic tone should effortlessly stream,
As if you are trapped in a poetical dream.

I surrender! Poetry, well it is not for me.
And as for this poem – I shall just let it be.
The cadence and tone are manic and incoherent.
And I am sure none of you knew what it meant…
