DREAM

When one dream is over,
a new one should begin,
for surely living without a dream
is nothing but a sin.

We can only change the future,
and we’re stuck with our past.
But one lesson, I have learnt,
is that no single dream will last.

I’ve had some magical moments,
and lived the perfect life –
and the thing that made it so
was that I had the perfect wife.

But this I know you can’t regret
the things that can’t be changed
Because constant change in life
is the only thing that stays the same.

So onward, forward and upward!
Marching ahead I need to go
with the joy of tomorrow’s promise
drowning out my deep sorrow.
