HOMECOMING
Home, home, our soldiers are
finally coming home
from fighting overseas in the Middle East.
US Flags blow gracefully in the wind.
Red, white and blue streamers,
And a bright décor of yellow ribbons
are tied to trees, and light posts,
pave the path in the troops honor
for the home coming event.
Our eyes filled with tears
when they left. Now family's
And friends cry tears of joy
Waiting to give warm embraces
To their son, daughter or
other family member
returning home from the war.
Men and woman, even strangers
Flood the streets and sidewalks
With mini flags in hand
Waving them in respect and gratitude
For those who served their Country
When called upon.
