Friend or foe, young or old
civilians or soldiers,
grim and grisly sights,
reminders of war
will always be embedded
in the minds of all.
Too terrible to describe
lives are lost in horrid ways.
Endless it seems
for on and on we go,
throughout History,
because of power
and greed
lessons of war
are never learned.
