BLESSING
He'd crossed the path of kings
and men of higher learning
at whose feet lay all earths treasures
yet still they felt a yearning
Discontented they'd wonder why
this poor man wore a grin
did he have treasure hidden away?
and so they sent for him
They asked him why his happiness
through circumstance prevailed
So begging their permission
he told a simple tale
"I have no earthly riches
no silver to be shined
no jewels or gold or palaces
to take up all my time
I have a loving family
good food for us to eat
we have the clothes upon our back
and shoes upon our feet
We want for very little
and would gladly share all things
for God has blessed us with far more
than the ransom of a king"
