Where did it go… the innocence of a brave young man?
Was it left behind or destroyed by the war in Vietnam?
Innocence shattered as it fought his youthful spirit to survive.
Not spared by the hate in his heart, nor drowned by the tears that he cried.
Innocence lost forever, locked up somewhere deep in his mind.
Guarded by the horrors he witnessed, haunted by memories of those left behind.
