MR QUE WITH A MULTICOLORED CAT

This painting is taken from a photograph of an 87 year old man named "Kim Quê" Quê who was born in 1919, back when Vietnam was a French colony. His wife now cares for him, since he has Alzheimer's disease. The title of this painting simply means, "Mr Quê with a Multicolored Cat". The cat, incidentally, belongs to a neighbor, but is what actually drew us to this awesome looking gentleman. It along with several other cats, were playing together on the sidewalk in front of Quê's familiar view from his home on Điện Biên Phủ Street.
