WISHING UPON WISHES

Rose floated off
Beyond the deep
Blue sea
Drifting without
Her beloved
Mr. DeMille

Sunsets muted
Pinks and orange
Glistened o’er
Salty wave tops
Dolphins swam
Nearby watching

Daydreams became
Night dreams
Vivid as the reality
Of pain embedded
With the thorn
She wears; always

Oceanic breeze
Enter twining
Through her soul
Caressing lightly
Upon her wavy
Midnight hair

Moonbeams
Ripple to and fro
Liltingly her
Farther than
The horizon;
Embracing

Shooting stars
Light up the
Vast heavens
Wishing upon
Wishes before
They fade
