UNSETTLING THOUGHTS

‘Twas another moment in time
When all blew away with the wind
Southerly blowing with fierceness
Even the thoughts will ne’er rescind

The mountains were to protect
Bring one back to a comfort zone
Couldn’t shake the memory though
Of the things one must not condone

The vastness of the starry heaven
Reaches beyond the Milky Way
Unsettled souls doubt the mind
Keeping them restless with dismay

Forget the sentimental journey
Disregard the loving embrace
Deny what had happened then
Who wants to be called a disgrace

Rebellious strength is the norm
Broken of will power; never more
Abandon the façade altogether
Tis what’s been driven to the core
