TO BE ME, ONCE AGAIN
I’d like to lie on this boulder
And let it absorb all my pain
The solid rock underneath
Wouldn’t disintegrate in vain
Babbling waters rippling down
Intertwining among each stone
Peace come what may, I pray
To take these hurts far away
I’d like to feel the sky’s shower
Softly and gently upon my soul
Cleansing away all the uglies
To be once again me – and whole
