Driving towards my mountains
Feeling the windy breezes thru my hair
Oh, what a glorious day it is!
Blankets of yellow wildflowers
Weaved in and out of prairie grasses
Wild Gaillardia peeking through;
How lovely the view is!
Listening to the morning greeting:

From the Wichita Mountains
Welcoming me home with its
Grandeur and comforting serenity
