Days now, ready to teach
Same students, some new

Handing out notebooks
Pencils, paper, ʽn’ folders
Going over class rules
Watching frowning looks

Reading, math, writing,
And spelling evaluations;
What group to be put in?
Focus is really on playing

Yep, school is in session!
Have to put on thinking caps
Learn new things, relearn old
