SILENT GOODBYE
In the stillness of the night
Silhouettes of leafless trees
Decorate the valley plain
Moonbeams interweave
Through barren branches
While the nightingale sings
Sorrow for naught plays
Its melody of melancholy
As silent goodbyes sail on by
Friendships enter a life
And disappear quietly
As if nothing was important
Lonesome and lonely
Ride the Milky Way
Beyond the stars of galaxies
So long, my dear friend
What was thought of as good,
Faded into a realm of nowhere
