MY BLUE MOUNTAIN BIRD
I saw my blue bird a sittin’ up in a tree
Atop the mountain area of a fave place
Not sure if he knew he’s been painted
In a self-portrait of him and my face
Such a lil guy, flying to and fro tree tops
Neʼer saw one like him in all my livinʼ
More like him swoosh by as he stops
Just taking a breather or two is a givin’
What you see across the boulder there?
Perhaps another location to build a home
Or just takinʼ the scenery as I am here
Watching the elk ‘n’ buffalo eat and roam
What a perty song you be a belting out!
A melodious tune that sprinkles the air
So sweet soundings of love and devout
As shiny sun drops plink on the water
