FOREVER YEARNING

Soft goodbyes for my dear friend
sailing away into the distance yon
not knowing if I shall see you again
windy sails flapping till he’s gone

Soft quiet tears falling into the sea
adding to the rippling waves o’er
sending messages of a loving heart
into the continuous tides of water

Endeavoring to never forget this soul
whose gentleness and kindness flow
touched me with compassionate life
forever yearning for his gentle glow
