FOREVER WAITING FOR SOMEONE

Sailing beyond the horizon’s edge
Into the deep yellowish pink hour
Of the sun settling behind a mantle
That belonged to daylight’s power

I’ve traveled over mountain tops
And waded through running waters
Searching for a love that values me
Waiting relentlessly for thy answers

On top of Eagle’s wings I’ve flown
Soaring above pine trees up in the sky
Hoping for thee in rapturous delight
As a companion to take flight nearby

Sitting at a grassy knoll above a creek
With lilting breezes caressing through
Barely noticing the tales of Dragonfly
As he tells the stories of you in view

Seasons keep changing forever more
Ageless moments pile into memories
Yearnings pine for the awaited soul
While the continuous longing increases
