I never understood why I ever actually cried
When an eagle on the wing was flying in the sky
I never could believe that a spirit could talk to me
Until I read your words and through them you spoke to me

I feel your pain and suffering your heartache and sadness
You brought to us a Savior who later went in passing
She was like you in many ways strong and brave
But we never really understood until her dying day

You both spoke to us through your words
You both shared with us things we never experienced
You both lived and died for us and we never got to say Goodbye

Now I know why I cry when I see an eagle fly
Now I understand your words although you have gone
Now I understand these feelings that I thought I had alone

You spoke to me
